Alan Crombie, one of our elders, along with George Reynolds from St. Clements, has been assisting in the construction of a Christian Friendship Camp in Romania for young people. Alan writes:
‘After a successful Summer Camp season, Friendship International are planning to consolidate the work by providing better service facilities in water, drainage, and electric power, and also extend the sleeping accommodation for the children by building six mock ‘chuck-wagons’. This will involve considerable financial outpour, and to assist with this, their Romanian Choir, A New Song, will tour Scotland in the Spring of 2009, visiting Dingwall on 9th May. A lack of clothing for the children at camp would suggest that Church members might collect discarded children’s clothing for 6 to 14 year olds of both sexes. This would be so much appreciated, as are our prayers for the project, staff, and children.’ |

![]() Castle Street Church first made contact with Friendship International when the New Song choir visited in August 2007. Alan and George have been giving their expertise on the construction of the Camp which has a 'wild west' theme. Some of the young folk who come have traumatic histories. At the Camp they are not only given a wonderful time for the period they are there, but they hear more about the love of God in the Gospel. |
